Getting started

How do I get started with CleanHive?

Get a quote online at cleanhive.co.uk/quote. It takes five minutes. Once you are happy with the price, we will book a 20-minute onboarding call to set up your property profile (access details, preferences, linen requirements) and pair you with a cleaner. Most hosts are fully set up within 48 hours.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No. CleanHive is month-to-month. You can cancel or pause any property at any time with 48 hours' notice. No exit fees, no minimum term.

Which cities do you cover?

We are currently live in Manchester. Liverpool launches Summer 2026. London and Birmingham are planned for early 2027. Leeds and Bristol are on the roadmap for 2027. Join the waitlist at cleanhive.co.uk/locations.

Pricing

What does a standard turnover cost?

Prices start from £45 for a one-bedroom property, £65 for two-bedroom, £85 for three-bedroom, and from £110 for four-bedroom and larger. London properties carry a 35% premium due to operating costs. Use our pricing calculator at cleanhive.co.uk/pricing for an exact quote.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The price you see is the price you pay. Same-day cleans carry a £15 surcharge if booked within a few hours of checkout. Laundry service is priced at £2.50 per KG if you opt in. Collection and delivery are free. Everything else is included.

How often do I pay?

Monthly. We invoice once a month for all cleans completed in that period. Payment is by card.

Do you charge extra for multi-property hosts?

No. In fact, 2 to 4 properties gets 10% off every clean, and 5 or more properties gets 15% off. Discounts apply automatically.

Quality and reliability

What is the backup guarantee?

If your assigned cleaner is unable to attend, CleanHive automatically dispatches a replacement. You get a notification. You do not need to make calls or find a solution. If no replacement can reach your property in time, you are not charged for that clean.

How do I know the clean was done properly?

Your cleaner sends photo documentation of every room before they leave. You receive these before your guest checks in. If something is not right, contact us within 24 hours and we will arrange a fix at no cost.

Do you vet the cleaners?

Yes. Every cleaner on the platform goes through an in-person onboarding, a shadow clean with a senior cleaner, and ongoing spot audits. They are also required to hold their own DBS certificate.

Cleaners and operations

Are your cleaners employed or self-employed?

CleanHive cleaners operate on a self-employed basis. They are not employees of CleanHive Ltd. This is clearly explained to all cleaners when they join the platform.

Will I always get the same cleaner?

We try to pair you with a consistent cleaner where possible. Your cleaner will be familiar with your property, your preferences, and your standards. In the event of absence, a backup cleaner will be assigned who also has access to your property profile.

What happens if something gets damaged?

All CleanHive cleaners carry public liability insurance. Report any damage within 48 hours to hello@cleanhive.co.uk with photos and we will handle the claim process.

The platform

Do I need to download an app?

No. CleanHive works entirely through email and a simple web dashboard. You can schedule cleans, receive photos, and manage your account from any browser.

Can I sync with Airbnb's calendar?

Yes. You can connect your Airbnb (or any iCal-compatible calendar) so cleans are scheduled automatically after every checkout. No manual booking needed.
